- We do observe Daylight Savings TIme. We are on Mountain Standard Time (UT). Be advised that there is a one hour time difference between Arizona Time Zone and the Navajo Nation Time Zone (Mid-March to October).

Our guide will be waiting for you in front of the hotel at the LOADING AREA, approximately 50 yards west of the entrance. We depart strictly on the hour, so please be punctual. Must Do
Due to a flash flood the day before this tour was cancelled but they were kind enough to offer us a refund or The Mystery Tour. We chose the alternative and were not disappointed. Our guide was amazing! He shared stories of his childhood and his lifestyle today. Some areas for this tour were still flooded however we still experienced this beautiful land, Anasazi sites and arches.
Excellent Tour
We were planning to just drive down into the valley and experience the grandeur of the place by ourselves. However, we would not have known the history or any of the background of the Buttes that we were looking at. So we booked a tour with Dinah Bekeyah Tours and got lucky with our tour guide John. He is a Navajo Indian who knows all of the history and background of the place. He told us stories of how the Buttes were named. He explained the Navajo family hierarchy and customs. He did with a lot of humor and back and forth dialogue. He brought you into the experience instead of being a passive voyager. I highly recommend taking the morning tour
