We will pick you up at your hotel at 9:00.

During the morning

Our first stop is in Guimarães, where we are going to visit the castle of the Portugal foundation, Palace of the Dukes of Braganza, amke a small stop for trying the tortas de Guimarães (local pastry) street of Santa Maria; Santiago square; Padrão do Salgado and Largo do Toural.

During the afternoon

Departure to Braga where we will visit the sanctuary of Bom Jesus de Braga, learn the history of the archbishop D. Diogo de Sousa, visit the cathedral and the arch of the new gate.

Description

Private full-day tour to Guimarães, the "cradle of Portugal", and Braga, the "Portuguese Rome".

During this tour you will visit the Castle of Guimarães, the Duke of Braganza Palace and and the historical city centre, a World Heritage Site since 2001.

Braga is a city with more than two thousand years of history, dating back to Roman times, and known for its profusion of churches and shrines, especially the Bom Jesus Sanctuary.
