Meet up with your group and guide at the Cervantes monument in Madrid’s Plaza de España. Your start time will depend on the departure time you’ve pre-selected with the tour operator. After climbing aboard your Segway and receiving a helmet you’ll follow your guide along the San Vicente slope, heading to Madrid Río Park.
Explore this recently opened green space with your group, learning about the massive restoration effort that was undertaken to restore the area. You’ll glide alongside the Campo del Moro royal gardens and learn about a subterranean passageway that once linked Casa de Campo park and the city’s royal palace.
As you proceed on your Segway excursion, check out the Puente del Rey bridge before rolling along some of the quieter park paths. You’ll eventually arrive at Cerro Garabitas viewpoint, offering great views of some of Madrid’s most famous monuments along with a landscape of pine trees. Your guide will also share some details about the Spanish Civil War and its connection to the park.
Finish your ride by crossing the Puente de Segovia bridge, one of Madrid’s oldest, and passing by landmarks including the King’s Esplanade and Virgen del Puerto chapel gardens. You’ll arrive back at your starting point after 90 minutes.
