Kayak Tour of Lisbon

Make your way to Oeiras Harbor, where you get fitted with a kayak, paddle, and life jacket. Then, learn some of the basics of handling a stable, sit-on-top sea kayak.

Throughout the tour, guides are nearby to assist with kayaking tips or explain the history of the landmarks you see from the water. Paddle alongside the guides as you follow the city’s waterways from Oeiras Harbor, passing historic forts that once guarded the entrance to the Tagus River. Watch for local fishing boats at Paço de Arcos and see fortifications that date back centuries, before coming to shore at Santo Amaro Beach, a long, golden stretch of sand that looks out across the river mouth.
