Short Description
  • The scenery’s not the only star of the show – there's loads of creatures to pick from.
  • The Asian short-clawed otters are clever as well as cute. They’ve got different calls to say hi, warn about danger and to have a good old flirt with potential mates – if the enclosure’s steamed up and there’s some Marvin Gaye playing, you know the score. There are also Black Tip Reef Sharks and Lesser Spotted Dogfish (a native species). And seeing Scotland’s only Cownose Rays is actually a very moo-ving experience. Sorry, we had to.
  • Everything’s split into zones so you can see the creatures in environments just like their natural habitats. There’s a rare albino dogfish in the Lochs of Scotland zone, the otters slink over rocks and slide into pools, and in the Tropical Ocean Tunnel, you feel like you’re walking next to sharks on the sea bed. Doesn’t get much more exciting than that.
Summary
  • Give this SEA LIFE spot a go and you’ll soon realise that Scotland is as beautiful under the water as above it.
