Once the plane touches down at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will deplane and make your way through passport control. Step outside and smell the alpine air! You will meet your personal representative of Himalayan Planet Adventures who will take you to your hotel to freshen up from the journey. - Our journey today is westward by luxury bus to the lakeside city of Pokhara. The route travels to the top of the rim of the Kathmandu Valley, then down into the Trisuli River Valley. The Trisuli is famous for whitewater rafting, and no doubt you’ll see rafters along the way. We cross the river and head west until we finally reach the lakeside city of Pokhara. We check into our hotel for the night. In the evening, walk down in Lakeside District where there are wonderful shops along the shores of Phewa Lake.

- Pokhara is one of the most popular places to visit in Nepal. Situated in the Annapurna range, its unique skyline is one to remember. People come here to zip line and paraglide along with taking a boat ride on the beautiful blue waters of Phewa Lake. We’ll take a boat ride to visit the temple in the middle of the lake. There is a Buddhist monastery to explore along with museums and other temples. Climb to the top of the Buddhist Peace Pagoda for an outstanding view of the city, the lake and the mountains. In the evening, you will return to your hotel for dinner.

- There is an opportunity for some last minute exploring of Pokhara before flying back to Kathmandu. The flight is only 35 minutes, but we fly along the backbone of the western Himalayas. We land at the domestic airport in Kathmandu. Our driver here picks us up and takes us to Mystic Mountain Hotel in Nagarkot. Nagarkot is a beautiful place on the northeastern corner of the Kathmandu Valley where we can witness a Himalayan sunset. From up here, you can see at least five of the world’s highest mountains, including Mt. Everest on a clear day.

- We wake early to watch the sun rise over the amazing Himalayas from Nagarkot. The morning is dark, but then the first rays of the effulgent sun begin to shoot upwards into the sky. We will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Changu Narayan and the city of Bhaktapur. We explore old royal palaces and temples along with narrow streets filled with craftspeople. In the evening, we return to Kathmandu.

It is home to the largest Tibetan refuge community in the country. Pashupatinath is the most sacred Hindu site with nearly 500 temples. In the evening, you will return to your hotel for your final night in the city. Enjoy a departure dinner.
