A different way to see the Annapurna Mountains!
While newcomers to Nepal tend to think of Mt. Everest first, seasoned trekkers prefer to go westward to the region of Pokhara. The skyline here is more impressive along with views of large, deep blue lakes. One of the newest treks in this region is the Mardi Himal Trek. It’s a 12-day adventure where you can see a different side of the Annapurna Mountain Range. This trip combines impressive alpine scenery with an exquisite opportunity to discover a myriad of local cultures.
The Mardi Himal Trek is just six days of trekking on the western side of Pokhara. You will meet the Gurung and Tamang people along with other smaller ethnic groups. They have all retained their unique culture. There are no problems between the groups. Nepal can show the world how true diversity works when people are proud of their culture while respecting others.
The other six days of the trip are sightseeing. You will be exploring the ancient mystical city of Kathmandu with its narrow streets, temples, and royal palaces. Then go to Pokhara to walk along the magnificent lakeshore of Lake Phewa. It’s a truly awesome experience as you see Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Manaslu, and Mt. Annapurna I, the 7th, 8th, and 10th highest peaks in the world.
You’ll see fewer tourists and more of the native population. Watch donkey trains make their way into the interior with goods for the people who live there. Watch children going to school as well as enjoy a cup of tea with the elders. All along the way, enjoy outstanding alpine scenery that only the Himalayas can offer!
Ask your representative about the Mardi Himal Trek. It is lower in cost than other similar treks, but in many ways, it offers much more. Book today!
