  • All of our tours will run rain or shine. When it rains here, it is still relatively warm, and the rain can actually enhance your experience while you are in the rain forest. However, if the rain is so strong that it creates conditions that your guide deems it unsafe, we will cancel the tour, and you can reschedule or receive a refund.
  • Cancellation Policy
  • At Costa Rica Waterfall Tours, we are committed to providing you with an extraordinary experience, that we guarantee the quality of our service. We value the relationship we have with each guest and want it to be mutually rewarding and last a lifetime. While some companies will fill tours with as many as 50 people at a time, we tend to limit our groups to about 16.
  • Below are the guidelines if you must cancel your adventure:
  • Cancel before 24 hours of pickup: No Refund
  • Travel Insurance
  • We strongly recommend purchasing full travel insurance to cover you for any cancellations, delays, medical bills, medical evacuation, loss/damage or theft of property, etc. If you choose not to get travel insurance, Costa Rica Waterfall Tours will not be liable or responsible for any costs, problems or events that happen before, during or after your vacation. Some Travel Insurance is included on certain credit cards so it’s worth checking to see if you’re already covered by your credit card.

At Costa Rica Waterfall Tours, you have the opportunity to experience true Canyoning even if you have never been in a harness.
  •  Just 20 minutes from Jaco, we will arrive at our base to start your adventure. Let’s hop in our 4×4 safari vehicles and drive up the mountain over 1000′ to get to our private reserve. Your guide will stop along the way to point out interesting flora and fauna and the incredible views of the ocean and countryside. When we arrive at the top, you will be outfitted with the latest and safest gear from Black Diamond in the USA. 
  • You will be instructed on the safe and proper use of our equipment, then begin your 5-minute hike to the first zipline. After 2 “zips” over the river, we will do a dry training rappel to familiarize you with the proper technique. A short hike down river and we will have some swimming and cliff jumping (4-25′) opportunities if you desire! Now it is time to get wet! 4 rappels through the waterfalls and YOU will do it all on your own. 
  • At all times, you will be “safe and backed up” by your guides! After a short climb up, we will exit the canyon and hike 15-20 minutes back to the truck. By the time you are finished, you can say “I am a canyoneer!” and can check this off your bucket list.
  •  Fun for the whole family! We have taken people from ages 7 – 78 on this exciting excursion. All you need is a little sense of adventure!

  • Costa Rica Rappelling Canyoning Tour Itinerary Your Adventure Begins
  •  We will pick you up at our meeting location or your accommodation then head south along the coast for 15 minutes. We then head inland to our private ranch. We will arrive at our base camp where you will be fitted with the latest and safest gear.
  •  Our hike into the canyon to the first zipline and training wall only takes five minutes. Here you will receive instructions and take a “practice run” at rappelling.
  •  Swimming, Cliff Jumping and Rappelling Oh My!
  •  After swimming, jumping into the waterfall, or just putting your feet in the refreshing water, you will begin the first of four rappels through the middle of the waterfall.
  •  The fun increases as your skills improve on your descent! We will then hike out of the river to the trail that takes us out of the jungle and right back to our truck.

  •  We will pick you up at our meeting location or your accommodation then head south along the coast for 15 minutes. We then head inland to our private ranch. We will arrive at our base camp where you will be fitted with the latest and safest gear.
  •  Our hike into the canyon to the first zipline and training wall only takes five minutes. Here you will receive instructions and take a “practice run” at rappelling.
  •  Swimming, Cliff Jumping and Rappelling Oh My!
  •  After swimming, jumping into the waterfall, or just putting your feet in the refreshing water, you will begin the first of four rappels through the middle of the waterfall.
  •  The fun increases as your skills improve on your descent! We will then hike out of the river to the trail that takes us out of the jungle and right back to our truck.

But it isn’t just for die-hard adventurers and expert climbers anymore. With Costa Rica Waterfall Tours, you can experience true canyoning even if you have never been in a harness before.
  • Your Costa Rica canyoning tour starts only 20 minutes from Jaco. After fueling up with an authentic Costa Rican meal, we hop in our 4×4 safari vehicles and drive up the mountain over 1000ft to reach our private reserve. Your guide will stop along the way to point out interesting flora and fauna and the incredible views of the ocean and countryside.
  • When we arrive at the top, you will be outfitted with the latest and safest gear from Black Diamond in the USA. You will receive a full briefing on the safe and proper use of our equipment before hiking for 5 minutes to the first zipline.
  • After two “zips” over the river, we move on to a dry training rappel to familiarize you with the proper technique for waterfall rappelling in Costa Rica. A short hike downriver leads us to our next spot. Before rappelling, you can enjoy some swimming and cliff jumping (4ft to 25ft) if you desire!
  • Now it is time to face the waterfall! When you join us for canyoning in Jaco, Costa Rica, you rappel down the waterfall four times—and YOU will do it all on your own.
