Description
  • Taste local food
  • This morning, depending on the season and your day of visit, follow your guide on a food tour in a market either in a village, in the town of Beaune or in the famous "Halles de Dijon". On this occasion you will have the opportunity to meet producers and farmers while tasting some local food. Regional products that can be tasted include the Burgundy Truffle, Parsleyed Ham, gingerbread, Blackcurrant liqueur from Dijon, Anise from Flavigny, chocolate, pastries and of course the famous Dijon Mustard.
  • Include your lunch during the booking process
  • To make it easier for you, we suggest 3 different options for your lunch that you can choose from during the booking process. 
  • Option number 1: Enjoy a local lunch at the table of a vineyard restaurant. Exquisite, traditional cuisine in an idyllic setting. This option is priced at 25€ per person, excluding wines. 
  • Option number 2: Enjoy food & wine pairing lunch at a family estate in Côte de Beaune or Côte de Nuits. Choose the wines you wish to pair with typical Burgundy dishes and cheeses. This option is priced at 79€ per person (subject to availability, closed on Sundays).
  • Option number 3: Enjoy fine dining at Château Le Clos de Vougeot with a 4 course lunch at the restaurant 'La Table de Léonce' with 4 wines included. This option is priced at 75€ per person (subject to availability, closed on Mondays during the season).
  • Taste local wines
  • Your afternoon will take you through the vineyards of Burgundy of Côte de Beaune & Côte de Nuits. Along the Route des Grands Crus admire castles, former Abbeys, Romanesque Churches and quaint villages surrounded by vineyards. Then stop in a traditional wine cellar for a comparative Burgundy Wine Tasting session. During your commented tasting, experience Burgundy White wines as well as Pinot Noir red wines that will include 1ers Crus and Grands Crus wines. You will also be able to combine some of the local food purchased in the morning to pair with the wines tasted in the afternoon.
  • After your wine tasting session, it will be time to make our way back to Beaune. We will drop you off in Beaune and that will be the end of our services.
  • Arrive in the Côte de Beaune wine region
  • The Côte de Beaune wine region covers roughly 20 kilometers (12 miles) between the northern and southern part of the appellation. Both red and white wines are produced here with Pinot Noir and Chardonnay being the main grape varieties planted. Historically  known as "Vin de Beaune" or "Pinot Vermeil" it wasn't until 1936 that the wines were classified using the AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) classification system.
  • The appellation is home to some famous Grands Crus such as Corton, Corton-Charlemagne or Montrachet while other appellations have some 'climats' classified as Premiers Crus such as Aloxe-Corton, Chassagne-Montrachet, Pommard, Santenay or Volnay.
  • Wine tasting experience
  • Drive along the rolling hills and stunning landscapes through top rated wine appellations such as Meursault, Volnay, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, and Chassagne-Montrachet. Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, and Chassagne-Montrachet wines are considered to be some of the finest whites wines produced in Burgundy while Volnay and Pommard produce some of the most elegant and delicate red wines of Burgundy. This is definitely high on the list of all wine lovers.
  • Here, you will arrive in a local estate to begin your Burgundy wine tasting experience. Enjoy a private commented tasting of local Côte de Beaune wines. Your guide, who is a wine expert, will be with you so do not hesitate to ask questions concerning the wines that you will be tasting.
  • Include your lunch during the booking process
  • To make it easier for you, we suggest 3 different options for your lunch that you can choose from during the booking process.

  • Travel to the Côte de Nuits wine region
  • Take in the sights of the quaint villages of Fixin, Gevrey Chambertin, and Chambolle-Musigny as we drive along stunning landscapes of rolling hills and beautiful vineyards that produce some of the most famed wines in the world.
  • The Burgundy “Champs-Elysées” along the Grands Crus Wine Road include Vosne-Romanée, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny. During this morning drive through the Burgundy vineyards, stop off at famous Romanée Conti for photo opportunities. Discover the beauty of our region, travelling in the calm of our beautiful vineyards, exploring nature and the climats creating our famous wines. 
  • Then it will be time for a prestige tasting in a private wine cellar. During this commented tasting session you will have the opportunity to taste our selection of Great Burgundy wines from different winemakers paired with regional cheeses or fine chocolates. Food and wine pairing suggestions, according to French traditions. Learn about the most famous local grape variety Pinot Noirs.
  • After your afternoon visits and tastings, it will be time to head back to Beaune where we will drop you off. Upon drop off, end of our services.
