Come join the crew aboard the Tammy Jane for a 2-hour educational and picturesque low-country experience as we take you out Shrimping! We invite you to learn about our healthy salt marsh environment, and introduce you to some of the sea creatures we'll safely pull up in our nets (in addition to shrimp!). We will explore how various ecosystems intertwine to create the rich food web that provides food for our tables. This is a unique opportunity for guests of all ages! If we do catch shrimp aboard an expedition the crew will package some up for guests to take home.

  • A two hour cruise included a shrimp trawl
  • An opportunity to learn about the commercial shrimping, and fishing industry of the low-country
  • The possibility to take some of the catch home with you (not guaranteed)

Great day shrimping on the Tammy Jane!

The shrimping excursion on the Tammy Jane was a great experience. We learned a lot about the area as well as many cool facts about local shrimping! Captain Renee and the crew were wonderful. We caught a lot of shrimp and fish and got to see many sharks and dolphins. We highly recommend this adventure!!!

We are so glad we booked...

We are so glad we booked this shrimp tour. Our four kids enjoyed the whole trip. Once they dumped all of the net on the table the kids would not leave the table looking at all the marine life!

A Must Do

This was such a fun and educational adventure! We did the 9:00 am session and we had a small group. It allowed for a lot of fun conversation and time with the crew to learn about shrimp. We saw dolphins, sharks, birds, shrimp, jellyfish, flounder, and other sea creatures. Mike, Sam, and Jude knew everything by name! We were fortunate to bring home some of the shrimp we caught. The crew gave us ideas on how to cook it, which was great! Side note, I don't eat shrimp (nor clean them, pop the heads off, or even touch them) and I still give this trip 5 stars.

This was the coolest...

This was the coolest experience yet on Hilton head island! The crew was awesome, friendly, and knowledgeable. It was hands on for all who wanted! We saw dolphins, a shark, jelly fish, squid, and of course shrimp! Even got to take home shrimp! 10/10 recommend.

Friendly and educational

The crew is very friendly and accommodating. They have a lot of knowledge of the ocean and all that dwell in it. They answered all questions we asked them. They packed the fresh shrimps in an ice bag for us to take home. They were so delicious! We would definitely do it again.
