Why take this tour?
This tour is all about the culture of Madeira! We first visit the small village of Santana, famous for its traditional thatched farmhouses. Afterwards a local shows us the water mills with which still today, with the help of the Levada power, the grain is ground to flour. Our journey continues to Arco de Sao Jorge, where we will walk along the cliffs and enjoy the overwhelming views over the ocean. A small, dainty church built high up on a mountain is our next stop before we are expected at Quinta do Barbusano for a guided tour of the vineyard. The afternoon ends with a delicious wine tasting.
