Why take this tour?

This tour will give you a glimpse of a Peruvian family-run farm in the Sacred Valley and how it also acts as an organic demonstration farm and speciality school for Peruvian farmers (campesinos). You will learn firsthand how small-scale farmers are using bio-intensive methods to improve their livelihoods and to promote a stronger relationship with Pachamama (Mother Earth). Connect with local Peruvians that you wouldn’t otherwise with the help of a translator from the AASD staff. This experience will have you learning about development, traditional knowledge, and organic agriculture. You also will have a chance to get your hands dirty by helping out on the farm depending on the needs of the season. To finish the tour, a traditional Peruvian lunch will be made from fresh produce from the Ecohuella farm with an accommodation for dietary restrictions. At the end of the tour, visitors will have an option to purchase an organic vegetable bag from the farm for an additional price.
