Half Day Exploring the Cu Chi Tunnels

Meet your private driver and guide upon hotel pickup from Ho Chi Minh City and pass by rice fields, gardens, and rubber plantations en route to Cu Chi province. On arrival at the tunnels, receive a brief introduction to the vast underground network, which stretches more than 75 miles (121 km).

Learn from documentaries and displays about the elaborate ways the Viet Cong operated its tactics during the Vietnam War (American War). Marvel at the ingenuity and resilience of guerrilla fighters who developed subterranean kitchens, living areas, and meeting rooms protected by secret trap doors and more.

You will have the opportunity to crawl into a short, narrow section of the tunnels for a vivid look. More adventurous visitors can even explore the deeper second- and third-level tunnels. For those who prefer to remain above ground, there is ample opportunity to view excavated areas from above. Your guide will advise you of the length and level of difficulty of each tunnel before entering; some are easily accessed by stairs.

After this morning or afternoon encounter with history, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City.

Entering Cu Chi Tunnels may not be suited for visitors with claustrophobia, pregnant women, people with neck and back problems and those with limited mobility.
