Cathedral is reopened!
Marta (our guide) was fabulous. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. We were fortunate to be able to go inside the Cathedral after the recent earthquake. Cathedral was better than expected. Royal Chapel was very interesting with the crypts of Ferdinand and Isabel.A beautiful place.

Cathedral is closed
The cathedral is closed. For repairs. I did not know this when I booked and Viator took booking The guide apologized and toured the royal chapel but it was the cathedral I was most interested in seeong
Not a Red Wedding, but the DRAMA OF HISTORY that seems made for the movies!
Due to the recent earthquakes in Granada, the Cathedral was closed for entry. We found that our wonderful guide Laura instead was given extensive times to feature her incredible story telling ability - the drama of Granada in 1492-1500’s, stories of succession, power, intrigue, ambition and even potentially murder that led to the formation of modern Spain. In giving the context of the tombs of Isabella and Ferdinand, we were made so much more aware of why these figures remain so important in European and World History, even today. An excellent foray into the downtown area of Granada, a circle of the Cathedral, and the best learning that comes only from travel! Highly recommend (and even perhaps better) with the Cathedral being closed. Thank you, Laura! You are brilliant!
A very important tour
The guide was wonderful. While the Cathedral was closed because of an earlier earthquake, she gave us a great tour of the Royal Chapel and the Historic District.
