Choose your preferred departure time in the morning or early afternoon and then meet your private guide at the reception area of the National Museum. You’ll spend the next several hours getting a “local’s view” of Bogota’s thriving street art and alternative culture.
As you walk, encounter various street art murals designed by an increasingly famous collection of Colombian artists. You might see the work of the “APC Crew” (Animal Power Crew), or other famous graffiti artists like DJ Lu, Stinkfish, DEXS, Toxicomano, and Lesivo. As you explore, your guide will also share details about the growing role of street art in Colombian culture, a movement that has been embraced by many local businesses and advertisers as a method to reach out to the country’s youth.
As part of your exploration, you’ll also head to downtown Bogota, where you’ll get an introduction to the city’s trendy side during stops at a sampling of alternative retail stores, hip bars, and various vintage shops. You’ll end your trip at Bogota’s “Parque de los Periodistas.”
