George Scrambling - Church beck

Church beck is situated in the south Lakes right below the Old Man of Coniston and Wetherlam which are both classic Lake District walks. Coniston Village is a quirky and pretty village with some amazing places to eat and drink . This ghyll is great even if it has been raining a lot and is a safe bet even if the weather isn’t on your side. This ghyll is 100% a wet one and that is what it’s all about.

The “Beck” has some incredible challenges and surprises along the way including big jumps, pools, climbing waterfalls and slides that will get your heart racing. Most of the obstacles can be missed out if you choose to.

We run the ghyll during the warmer months of April – October. The Meeting Location is at the Old Furness road car park right opposite the small industrial estate.
