Why take this tour?

Enjoy a 12-hour trip to one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, the BERNINA TRAIN, starting from Milan by a regional train for a 2 hour ride to Sondrio, an important town in Valtellina, a valley in the Italian Alps. Here we will continue by car/minivan for another 30 minutes to reach Tirano, where, after the time for your own lunch, we will board the Bernina train that climb the Swiss Alps. We will get off on the highest point (about 7.000 feet) to enjoy the view, snowcaps and, if possible, a very short nice walk along an alpine trail in the summer or on the snow in the winter (JUST IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER WE DO NOT REACH THE HIGHEST POINT DOING ONLY A PARTIAL RIDE OF THE BERNINA TRAIN) Afterward we will head to St. Moritz, a fashionable resort, one of the most well known in the world. Then we will go back to Italy, through another valley in Switzerland, from where you will board the regular train for a short ride on your return to Milan.
