Visit some of the most scenic places in Japan's celebrated Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, beginning with Mt Fuji. Experience the thrill of biking down the mountain and then around three lakes in its foothills that offer spectacular views. Explore a well-preserved ancient village where artisans produce elaborate hand-made crafts in traditional Japanese thatched-roof farmhouses. Visit marvelous temples and flower gardens, and travel off the beaten path on lovely country roads relatively few tourists see. Spend the second day of the tour taking in the beauty of the famous Hakone area. Pass a breathtaking shrine whose iconic red gates rise out of a lake. Stop for traditional snacks and drinks at a teahouse that has served travellers on the historic Old Tokaido Road for hundreds of years. Cycle from the lakeshores to the surrounding forested hills where magnificent views of mountain ranges and countryside await. Relax after the ride at one of Japan's most elegant hot spring bathhouses.

A variety of itineraries are available to match your schedule, interests and budget. Our guides are native English speakers who also speak Japanese. We're experienced with children and offer a family-friendly environment. All bike tours include a private support car to ride in if you get tired, along with bikes, helmets, light snacks and water. Full-day and multi-day tours include lunches. We offer bikes in a full range of adult sizes and some children's sizes. For some tours you have the option to upgrade from our default hybrid bike to a road bike or e-bike. Cyclists who wish to wear their cycling shoes can make a request in advance for an upgrade to clipless pedals. Our winery, brewery and distillery tours are by private car and involve no bike riding.
