Visit the impressively large Sanctuary Square, which is twice the size of St Peter’s Square in the Vatican, and see the Our Lady of Fátima Sanctuary, where millions of devoted Catholic pilgrims travel each year. As you stroll, hear intriguing facts about the sites from your knowledgeable private guide.
Later, enjoy free time to sightsee at your own pace. You might even have the opportunity to attend Mass or light a candle in the basilica. Then, reconnect with your guide and relax as you journey back to Lisbon.
Full-Day Tour (7.5 Hours)Follow the same itinerary as the half-day tour, with some extra free time for lunch (own expense). After you’ve eaten, meet up with your guide. Then, choose to pick up mementos of your Fátima experience during a visit to a religious artifacts factory, and delve deeper into the events of 1917. Continue to the nearby town of Valinhos, where the three shepherd boys who witnessed the apparition were born and raised (now Saints Francisco and Jacinta).
Later, return back to your hotel in Lisbon, or cruise ship, where your tour concludes.
