Summary
Tour info
Why take this tour?
Your host will pick you up from your Addis Ababa hotel and bring you home to enjoy an authentic, hands-on Ethiopian cooking class with his wife Tigist in their home kitchen. During your 1.5 hour class, Tigist will show you how to make a traditional Ethiopian dish like shiro or tibs as well as how to pour and cook the perfect injera, a traditional fermented bread people in Ethiopia use as an edible plate with other dishes served on top of it. You will also learn to roast coffee beans and enjoy a traditional coffee ceremony after your meal, as Ethiopia is the birth place of coffee! This is a unique opportunity to learn from locals and experience authentic Ethiopia with its traditions and cuisine - so join these great hosts and leave with a full stomach and new memories to share with your loved ones at home! Please note that on days Daniel is away, his partner Yadassa hosts along with Tigist, Daniel's wife at her home.
