The word 'Iguassu' means 'great water' in the Guarani language. As much as 450,000 cubic feet (12,750 cubic meters) of water pours over the falls per second, and these cascades are twice as wide and one third taller than North America's Niagara Falls. The UNESCO World Heritage site is impressive when seen from ground level, but breathtaking when seen from a hovering helicopter.
Following pickup at your Puerto Iguazu hotel, ride in a minivan to the helicopter departure point on the Brazilian side of the falls. Bring your camera, as this helicopter tour makes for amazing photographs from the air. Enjoy Iguassu Falls from all angles during the helicopter flight.
After the flight over the falls and the verdant greenery and wildlife of the surrounding jungle, you will return to the landing pad. Return to your hotel in the minivan for drop-off in Puerto Iguazu.
