After morning pickup from your Dubai hotel, set off on your comprehensive city tour by comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle.
Head into Al Fahidi, Dubai’s oldest neighbourhood, seeing its wind tower houses and alleyways, and learn from your guide how the area developed in the early 1900s when Dubai was a small fishing and trading port.
Visit Dubai Museum, housed in picturesque 18th-century Al Fahidi fort, and chart the city’s history from ancient to modern times through the working displays and artefacts.
Ride a traditional abra across Dubai Creek, and go ashore to explore Dubai Heritage Village, an open-air museum showcasing bygone local life. Absorb the colorful herbs and spice stalls at the nearby Spice Souk, and scout out souvenirs (own expense) at the gold, silver, and jewelry shops in the Gold Souk.
Continue into Dubai’s newer Jumeirah district, and stop at Jumeirah Mosque, admiring its Fatimid-inspired modern architecture. Take photos outside the sail-shaped Burj Al Arab hotel, and then get close up to the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower. Gaze at the 2,722.4 feet (829.8 meters) skyscraper before enjoying a buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
Next, enjoy free time for shopping at Dubai Mall, one of the world’s biggest malls, and visit Palm Jumeirah, the palm-tree shaped artificial island just off Jumeirah’s coast.
Take photos of the island's Atlantis The Palm hotel and stop briefly at Dubai Marina, seeing its palm-lined Marina Walk waterfront and high-rises.
Finally, call at the Mall of the Emirates, one of Dubai’s largest malls, admiring the snow park of Ski Dubai, the Middle East’s first indoor ski resort, which is built into the complex. Your tour concludes with a drop-off back at your hotel.
