Meet your driver at your Dubai hotel, hop inside an air-conditioned vehicle, and begin your self-guided tour.
Focusing on Dubai’s traditional souks and markets rather than its modern malls, your tour will cover several retail hotspots, many offering traditional Arabian goods and crafts. At each stop, get shopping tips from your driver, and then enjoy free time to browse and buy.
Top of the list is the sparkling Gold Souk, a gold bargain hunter's dream. Stroll through the lanes to view the multitude of stores, and shop and haggle for everything from Dubai’s famously bright gold to silver and jewelry.
Stop at the Spice Souk and take your pick from the stalls peddling everything from herbs, sweets, and spices to incense, henna, and other goodies. You’ll also head to some of the city’s carpet stores, whose wares include exquisite handmade rugs and carpets from Dubai and places like Kashmir, India, and Iran.
Other stops might also include individual jewelry and designer shops, or markets known for their bargains and unique ranges.
