Why take this tour?

If you thought El Dorado was a fairytale, you will be proven wrong. With the sounds of the jungle, your expedition to find El Dorado begins in the plaza of the Stream of Quevedo. Your narrator is the founder of the city of Bogota, Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada. He will take you, like never before, to the stories behind the foundation of the city and its very beginnings. The obsession to discover El Dorado becomes evident as you walk the streets of El Palomar del Principe and learn about the mysteries of the local natives Chibchas and muiscas, who inhabited this city before the colonists arrived. You will get to admire the church that gives the name to the neighbourhood of La Candelaria and will discover all the history of the early days of the cathedral, as well as the story of Vasquecito, one of the most important painters of his time.
