A gem of a day, with Pete and Liam leading the way!

Liam was a tour guide extraordinaire and made our trip memorable enough to last us a lifetime! He grew up in Kilkenny and that added an authentic flavor to the tour. Wonderful experience overall

We went on the Cliffs of Moher and Galway tour and enjoyed it very much! Our bus driver Stephen drove very safely and had no problem navigating the very windy Wild Atlantic Way. Our tour guide Niamh was fantastic! She was so knowledgeable on every area that we visited and was an enthusiastic story teller. She was very helpful and answered questions thoroughly. The actual tour itself was great! The coach bus was nice and had USB-C chargers on the roof, so make sure you bring a long cord. Our bus did not have a bathroom, which we were aware of before, but even as someone with a small bladder I felt like the amount of stops were appropriate (one there and one on the way back about halfway through) and there are bathrooms at both the Cliffs and in Galway. Rest station stops are not long (ours were about 20 minutes) and women’s room lines can get very long, so just keep that in mind. The Cliffs are 100% worth the drive out. Do your best to time it out correctly by watching the weather for a few days beforehand. Oftentimes it’s known to be cloudy and rainy at the cliffs. I watched the weather for a few days before booking and ended up choosing the one that seemed most consistent in terms of being sunny. This worked out well in our favor! Even if you go on a cloudy day, don’t be discouraged as the weather changes every ten minutes. We went from sun to hail to rain to sun in the span of about 25 minutes. For the best views, sit on the left side. When you drive from the Cliffs to Galway on the Wild Atlantic Way, the ocean is on the left side and the views are stunning. The drive through Wild Atlantic is quite windy and sometimes bumpy, so be prepared if you experience motion sickness. You’ll have about two hours in Galway which flies by. If you’re an oyster fan, getting oysters in Galway is a must since they are local!! We went to The Kings Head for lunch and the oysters were incredible. There was a short wait but even with that we still got in and out in about an hour and fifteen and had time to stop at a couple of shops. Overall so worth it and highly recommend!

Ruairi, our guide, and Eddie, our driver, kept the day moving for a great visit to the Cliffs of Moher, Galway, and Atlantic Edge. Ruairi shared many site facts and Irish history along the way and even hosted a fun quiz on the way back. The Cliffs are magnificent and worth the full day of travel from Dublin. Join Ruairi and Eddie at Wild River Tours for an adventure across Ireland!

I sincerely recommend this amazing bus tour. The itinerary is really well made, we had enough time on each stop, the sceneries are wonderful. Thanks to our guide Stephen O’Malley and our driver Paolo, we spent a really good day that made us discover Ireland a bit deeper, surrounded with stephen’s awesome stories.

If you are planning a day trip to the Giant’s Causeway and Belfast, you absolutely must request Stephen James O’Mally as your guide and Paulo as your driver. From start to finish, the logistics were flawless. Paulo expertly navigated the roads, ensuring we had a safe, smooth, and relaxing ride the entire day so we could just sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery. The true standout of the tour, however, was our guide, Stephen. He is far more than just a typical tour guide; he is a masterful storyteller. Instead of just reciting dry dates and facts, Stephen brought the complex and beautiful history of Ireland to life by weaving in his own personal family history. Hearing about the region’s past through the lived experiences of his ancestors made the tour feel incredibly intimate, relatable, and profoundly moving. This wasn’t just a standard sightseeing trip—it was a deeply personal masterclass in Irish heritage. I cannot recommend Stephen and Paulo highly enough!

Stephen was hands down the best tour guides i have ever had the pleasure of listening to. His stories made the drive to Belfast feel too short. I would have paid to just hear him talk. And Paulo was a great bus driver that got us there and home safe. If you are considering the day trip from Dublin to Belfast DO IT and hopefully you get them as your duo!

(Translated by Google) We took the Giant's Causeway and Belfast tour with Wild Rover Tours, and the experience was very much in line with what we read online: a long day, well-organized, and, above all, very dependent on the guide. In our case, Stephen O'Malley completely lived up to his reputation. He's a very energetic and approachable guide with a clear ability to keep you engaged for hours on the bus. He combines history, Irish culture, and anecdotes quite naturally, something many travelers highlight and which truly makes the journey anything but tedious. His isn't your typical one-dimensional lecture: he knows how to tell stories and has that touch of humor that's appreciated on such a long day. Furthermore, he adds a very personal touch to the experience: he shares his own stories (like when he mentions that his grandfather was supposedly Kevin O'Higgins), which makes the tour feel less "by the book" and more authentic. He also pays close attention to the atmosphere during the trip, with a very well-chosen musical selection—from The Dubliners to Van Morrison—that perfectly complements the scenery and the vibe of the day. It's clear the guide has a good grasp of timing and logistics, crucial for this type of tour with its multiple stops. Everything was well-planned, with no sense of chaos, which aligns with the company's overall reputation as a highly organized and punctual operator. On the other hand, the driver, Paolo, perfectly fulfilled his role: smooth, safe, and trouble-free driving. This might seem secondary, but on long routes through Ireland, it's greatly appreciated, and it's a recurring theme in reviews of the company: the guide and driver combination works as a very solid team. On a more neutral note (not a negative, but realistic), it's a demanding tour: many hours on the bus and tight schedules at each stop. You see a lot in a single day, but without delving too deeply into each place. It's the typical "intensive" format: ideal if you want a comprehensive overview, but not if you're looking for a more leisurely exploration. In short, a highly recommended tour if this format suits you. The key here is not just the destination, but the guide, and Stephen O’Malley clearly makes the difference: he turns a long journey into an entertaining, informative and quite memorable experience.
