Was not sure what to expect for a true full day trip but it was worth spending our only full day in Dublin on the Viator Wild Rover tour. So much history presented in a captivating way and the views were incredible every step of the way. The weather even cooperated as we waited for the fog to lift for awesome views at the Cliffs of Moher. Traveling along the Wild Atlantic Way was absolutely as described, wild, with the narrow and windy roads. Wonderful recommendations offered in Galway for food and shopping while on a time schedule for 60 people. It was apparent that every aspect of this trip was carefully planned and executed. Very organized from pre-event communication to check-in to drop-off. It was a fun educational experience. Stephen, our host, had a wealth of knowledge, even as we passed cities along the way. JP was very skillful at navigating the roads with our huge comfortable bus. I’d highly recommend.

Great Irish experience

We did the Cliffs of Moher tour. Marcin, the bus driver drove us smoothly to beautiful spots. We were guided by Niamh’s explanations & lovely stories. Her friendly nature & energy made the trip even more interesting. A great experience;-)

Great way to spend the day.

The sheep herding stop was the favorite, especially the baby lambs. Not sure Sunday was the best day to see Kilkenny as other then the Castle and Bars most shops were closed. The drive all around the countryside was beautiful, as were the lakes. Enjoyed the Day!

Fantastic day!

I’ve been on several tours across many countries, but this may have been my favorite. It was a lovely day across the country to see Galway and the Cliffs, and Niamh and Stephen with Wild River helped make it outstanding. It was the perfect balance of commentary and quiet time, driving and breaks. They tried to accommodate everyone’s needs. Niamh thought of everything, including adding pertinent Irish music along the way and even having backup chargers for those in need. She has the perfect personality for a tour guide. She was well informed and explained things in a lively, upbeat way. I learned a lot! She exudes Irish charm and warmth. Stephen, our driver, got us there safely through some amazingly tight turns! He chatted during our rest breaks and was also so warm and friendly. I thought two hours at the Cliffs might be too long, but I was wrong. Take the path to the right as far as you can go and you will be rewarded with amazing views of the ocean, the Cliffs, and the cows who live there (beautiful). We then took some very windy roads through the Burrens on our way to Galway. A few got carsick, so if you are one who gets woozy on windy roads, you may want to plan ahead and bring something to help. The views along the way were breathtaking. I loved Galway and wished I had more time to explore. The restaurants get very busy, so eating can take up most of your time. Beautiful city. Long day, but worth very second. All in all, a great tour with a great company. Highly recommend!

Enjoyable tour

Tour guide Paul was extremely knowledgeable with the different places we went to. The Collin’s Sheep Farm was charming and enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour.

Great day trip from Dublin!

What a great trip! Cliffs of Moher is beautiful and a must see! Galway is a super cute little coastal town with lots of history, shops and restaurants. Joe the bus driver is a spectacular driver! Those roads get pretty narrow but he made it look easy. Brendan was the tour guide. He has a great sense of humor with funny little jokes throughout the day. He’s super knowledgeable about Ireland and Irish history, and made the 13 hour day seem like a breeze. The coach bus is a comfortable way to travel. I was happy to see USB chargers at every seat. Highly recommend Wild Rover!

Ireland by bus!

Dermot was an amazing driver and guide; made our whole experience! He manages the bus like a pro, even when errant drivers park illegally and make his job 10xs harder. Bravo!

A fantastic day trip with expert tour hosts.

A fantastic way to get a first taste of the region! Brian and Marko were fantastic hosts for the day and made sure to keep the group safe, informed, and on schedule. As a result, we were able to move briskly at each stop to maximize our time at the two main events - the Cliffs and a stop in Galway. The cliffs are beautiful and you will want to bring layers to warm up or cool down depending on the rapidly changing weather. The views are stunning, so bring a variety of lenses if you can to enjoy the different perspectives and catch the changing light on the cliffs. In Galway, you have enough time to sample the local eateries, do some shopping, and see a quick site or two. Brian gave strong recommendations with a sample itinerary and provided a walkthrough of the town before unleashing you for the remainder of you time there. We had comfort stops both on the way to the west coast and the way back to the Dublin which made for an easy day. It’s a long day, but Brian’s information and good sense of humor kept the trip from ever feeling like a slog even with all of the driving (handled beautifully by Marko). All in all, this tour made us just want to come back, rent a car, and spend more time at each spot on our next trip to Ireland. Strongly recommend this two and a big thank you to the two gents for making a great day out with the family.

Good tour - Belfast and the castle are more interesting than the Giants Causeway

A long day that seemed to go fast. You learn about times of strife in Ireland / Northern Ireland and see the impacts still there today. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the Black Cabs but they were the most immersive part and I recommend that part of the tour. The Dunluce Castle was also really stunning near the water. Giants Causeway was interesting but one of those things where you see it and say “there it is”. We still enjoyed it, but I went in thinking that was the main thing and found the other parts of the tour more interesting.

Don’t miss this tour

Our tour with Wild Rover was excellent. Our guide Daithy and our driver Michael were both terrific. Daithy was very knowledgeable in addition to being a great storyteller. And he made sure we had good music to listen to on the bus. I highly recommend this tour.

A fantastic day out and day-trip from Dublin.

Paul and Podgé were fantastic! I went on two walking tours with Paul and really appreciated his local knowledge and experience. The coach was comfortable, air conditioned and the duration of the trips between locations were carefully thought out. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dublin as it is a great day trip, out of the city and exploring the beautiful scenery that Ireland has to offer. The places visited are beautiful, especially Ritchie’s Sheep Farm! The sheep dog demonstration was great, and our group especially loved the opportunity to meet lambs up close! Thanks again to Paul and Podgé for a great day.

Day tour

The tour was great, highly recommend this to anyone coming to Dublin. Our guide, Paul, made it really fun and full of informations and tips. And we had a great weather, really enjoyed. The city of Kilkenny is a must go!

Fun experience!!

The views and stop points were beautiful, and both Paul & Podge were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Paul is an amazing guide that knows the history and culture of the places we went. Such a fun experience!

Steven and Stipe were the best. The stories from Steve are super amusing and unique. Must go if you’re in Dublin and the weather allows it.

Natural Beauty at the Cliffs of Moher and along the Atlantic Coastal Highway

The views were amazing the weather cooperated and it was great to see the fog fade away and the sun come out on this beautiful windy day. The drive was spectacular and the guide and driver were both outstanding. Go Daniel and Billy. (Daniel was a knowledgeable guide about so many various topics and sites along the way and Billy was definitely focused on our safey while driving.). A++ and on a scale of 1-10 definitely a 10!
