We booked a private bike tour of Paris with Fat Tire. Best decision I ever made! We had a group of 8 (5 of which were boys ranging from 10-15). We were so lucky to be assigned Walker as our guide! He was very knowledgeable, super friendly and enthusiastic, and managed to entertain 5 boys for hours! The boys felt like they were hanging out with a friend. This bike tour, I feel, is the best way to tour Paris. The highlight of our trip! I’m also glad I booked a private tour, I’m sure all the tours are exceptional, but we enjoyed the extra special attention. I want to personally thank Walker for being so amazing! Walker you created memories for my family that will last a lifetime❤️

Greg was an excellent tour guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and especially great with kids. This 2-hour tour covered a lot of key monuments and historic buildings around the Capitol area in a short amount of time, without ever feeling rushed. A special highlight was the ride along Constitution Avenue, where we followed the actual route of the presidential parade—such a cool experience! Greg made the tour fun, interactive, and safe for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting D.C.!

Unreasonable Hospitality - the Guide makes all the difference. Just wanted to give a shout out to Vladimir (aka "Vlad the Great") as he made all the difference in our Paris Versailles Bike Tour on Thursday, July 2, 2025. This was an excursion part of our very first trip to Europe and this experience was recommended to us by some dear friends. We hopped on the idea immediately but I was nervous. I haven't ridden a bike in many, many years and not only that, there was a small portion of the tour that took us through streets with vehicle traffic. I'm a small person and so initially even getting the right size bike for me was hard (third time's the charm). One note I have about that is to possibly take people's height information and comfortability with bikes, etc. during intake to be prepared for this or to more easily match people with their correct sized bikes. That said, by the time I did receive the right bike (ended up being a children's bike with "Cool Kid" sticker on the handle bars-ha!), my anxiety level was very high and I almost gave up on the idea. Vlad was so very patient with me and took time to let me get comfortable in a safe area before we got started. His kindness and attentiveness was, in my opinion, an expression of "unreasonable hospitality." I'm sure the guides meet hundreds of people during a season, (I know I do as I'm a wine tour guide in Oregon) but we must always remember the difference we can make with one person. He will always be a shining star when we think back on the day. Not only was he kind, he was knowledgeable, passionate about history, attentive to where to give his "talks" so that the group could all be comfortable, brought an extra insulated bag that he carried for those of us who chose to purchase wine at the market for our picnic, patiently explained the RER train situation and was just an all around wonderful person. I later learned that he worked with and trained horses as well and that made so much sense. Anyone who can work with horses has the ability to understand and work with people well. Thank you, Vlad!
