We had an excellent biking experience with Adrian as our personal guide. This is the perfect way to see the city, as it is quite spread out and difficult to explore entirely on foot. The three-hour tour was fantastic. Adrian was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting additional information along the way, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Right off the start we ran into a metro issue and were not able to make our time. I was sure that we had lost all our money but when I let them know they said keep us posted, when we arrived 30 minutes late JF walked us over to meet the group. They couldn't have been more accommodating. Then Eric who would be riding and touring us, met and filled us in on the day. The bikes (e bikes) were great, complete with shock absorbers which really helped over the cobblestones, which are abundant. And he was so informative about the whole history. We had a lovely lunch by the grand canal, rode all around the grounds (no way you could have covered this on foot) toured the smaller buildings and gardens and finally turned in the bikes and were led back to the main castle of Versaille to spend as much time there as you wished. All in all I thought it was a well thought out tour looking behind the scenes to give you a feel for what it was like to live there in those times. And our bikes had names e-bike-stein and le volt royale, just thought that was cute, shows they have a sense of humor and whimsy. Totally understand the French revolution now, such opulence!! Great tour thank you for Elle also who kept in touch with me when we were running late. Just a great group with personalized service.

I am a longtime resident of the DMV and over the past 15+ years I have done the bike tour of the monuments multiple times with guests and family visiting from out of town. I can say without hesitation that our guide Marcus was the best I’ve ever had for this tour. He was extremely knowledgeable, had great visual aids, and offered interesting anecdotes to bring to life the history, background and architecture of Washington, DC. I was particularly impressed by Marcus’ conscientiousness and patience in dealing with certain members of the group, including my own brother who at one point wasn’t paying attention, took a wrong turn, and ended up getting lost. Marcus handled the situation calmly and professionally, and he quickly got the group back on track. In another case, when a member of the group asked endless questions, consistently failed to return to each meeting spot at the agreed upon time, and then complained about what he thought was unreasonably short stops at each monument (it was NOT AT ALL unreasonable given the multiple sites being visited during the three hours allotted for the tour), Marcus again responded calmly and professionally and adjusted as best he could to address everyone’s needs. Many thanks for an excellent tour, Marcus. My brother and his wife said it was the highlight of their visit to Washington, DC!
