What a pleasure it was to visit SeaWorld Orlando after such a long journey from France! The park has a great lineup of roller coasters—Mako was definitely my personal favorite! It was a day with very light crowds, but... I have never seen so many miserable-looking employees at a theme park; 90% of the staff—from the shop workers to the ride operators—clearly didn't want to be there. I got stuck in the Mako station due to a technical issue, I was left strapped into Pipeline for 20 minutes, and to top it off, after finishing Manta, I was stuck strapped in for another 20 minutes before I could get off... And don't get me started on the $14 locker fee for just two hours... or the tower ride we would have loved to try, only to find out it cost an extra $6!

Seaworld is seriously going downhill, to the point I wondered whether they are deliberately trying to run it into the ground. Staffing is the biggest issue. The staff clearly don't want to be there and don't seem to care. I saw one of the dolphins trying to get the keepers attention. 3 of them stood chatting ignoring it whilst in Discovery cove they were so interactive with them. I will commend however a lovely female member of staff with the beluga whales.Secondly, on Manta a kid got sick. Not one member of staff checked on him, more concerned with the clean up job. I understand it's an inconvenience but myself and another guest actively discussed jumping the gate to check on him as no staff member did. Speaking of the rides, whilst I think the rollercoasters are extreme enough to keep thrill seekers coming, none of them feel comfortable. Even their newer ride, penguin trek, I was left with bad bruising from the arm rests as I was rattled about. 3 coasters in I was done, and this is someone who has done multiple rides on universal coasters. It is a complete rip off to buy anything. $6.38 for a packet of crisps , similar for a drink. The whole vibe just seems off. I defended this place to critics as I bought the whole sanctuary idea but now the whole place just seems off. The Beluga whales, I question the space that they have in that tank (I could be wrong on this if they have additional space I was not aware of) again I avoided the orca/s. The place just feels completely devoid of passion now which makes me more concerned for the animals in it's care. I wont be making a revisit.
