Uninteresting
This wine tour was unorganized, uninteresting and sent most of the time in the car not in the wineries drinking good wine. Our host was friendly and informative but both wineries were just going through the motions to present their wines. We were not offered water or the opportunity to use the toilet.

Fun experience to well known Loire Valley Chateau
Good day-trip to 2 well known chateaus in Loire Valley. The activities were quite packed. The tour guide had done a great job explaining and quite entertaining. It would be even better if the tours were lengthened.

We were dropped off at what the taxi driver said was our tour meeting spot. Not the case! When I called Ophorus Tours, via the phone number listed in their recent email, a representative literally guided us by phone to the actual meeting spot! This is what I call EXCELLENT customer service. Once we arrived, the polite guide, Valentin, assisted us with putting our belongings in his van. He reassured us that our delay was no big deal and that we arrived 3 minutes before departure. So off we go for our first visit to Burgundy! I've been on many tours which were everything I expected and more. Valentin's brain is filled with every bit of interesting information pertaining to this beautiful region and other areas of the world! He taught us SO much about the history of the area, its culture, the vineyard growing process, how certain tastes are achieved and many other facets of the wine industry. Ophorus Tours is blessed to have such a brilliant young man representing the company and we were blessed to have him guiding us through the region. Yes, our expectations were exceeded and we are happy to have gained great information about this interesting business and the beautiful people and places that make it happen! Thank you, Valentin.

A fantastic day in Medoc!
It was fantastic. Everything went smoothly, the wineries were excellent and our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about educating us about the wine country.

The trip was absolutely wonderful! Special thanks to our guide “Arthur” who was incredibly helpful and did everything he could to make the experience enjoyable and full of life. He had clear and complete answers to all our questions. Visiting the castle was amazing, and some of the Alsace villages were simply breathtaking. I came back with beautiful memories and a heart full of gratitude. It’s definitely a trip I’ll never forget!

I selected this tour because it included all the villages I wanted to see AND the Haut Koenigsberg castle. The tour did not disappoint! Our guide Carlos was excellent, friendly, a great driver, fun to talk to, and a good communicator. He explained the history of each place we went to and even of some of the places we drove past. We spent the most time in Riquewihr, which is beautiful, especially the vista point overlooking the town and vineyards. Had time to do a wine tasting in Riquewihr, although it left only a little time for grabbing a to-go lunch. The castle was one of my favorite parts; it is huge and has such a turbulent history that reflects the history of Alsace. Amazing views. Loved the tour! For those going: prepare for a long whirlwind of a day, but a very fun day.

Small group and guide worth it.
Both chateaux are magnificent and you'll see enough but not have time for all rooms and outbuildings etc. We enjoyed the day and Ilya, our guide was interesting, very informative and a good host for the day.

My entire family enjoyed our tour of the D Day sites. Our tour guide was amazing and answered all our questions while personalizing it for us. She gave us ample time to explore and gave us information to find items of interest during our free time.

Alsace is the best!
We travelled to Alsace again this year. We did not visit Strasbourg this time but tended to stay more in the country between Obernai where we stayed and Mulhouse. We flew into Basel/Mulhouse instead of Frankfurt, which is over a 4 hour drive, where Mulhouse is just over an hour. Which is a big difference when you're tired from flying over night. We love driving through the wine route in Alsace, with stops in Colmar. Colmar is great, I think they call it petite venice as they have canal rides through the town. My favorite spot is a resturant on the side the canal by the main bridge where you can watch the canal boats. Colmar is fantastic for walking around and dining outside. This year we visited the point where France, Germany and Switzerland come together. They have a monument, a bit anti-climatic but worth seeing in my view. Had lunch and picked up some nice swiss chocolate in Basel at the same time. We drove through Kaysersberg and what a beautiful town that would be to visit on our next tour and probably why Anthony Bourdain stayed there. Also visited the castle at Haut Koenigsbourg which is a must see in this area. Its an easy walk through but don't attempt it on a weekend or holiday, especially during a bike race! I've stayed in Obernai which is a very old town which has been around since like 7th century. I keep finding new places there everytime I go. Great resturants, although my favorites are Me'me and Winstub La Dime. We stayed in La Cloche this time but have stayed in Le Colombier in past. The Colombier has a huge breakfast buffet where La Cloche has the usual Alsatian breakfast fare and for the price, its worth it. I also must say that the staff at La Cloche is way more personable and friendly!
