Our guide, Matt, was very knowledgeable about the events of the war. He also presented lesser known facts—sort of behind the scene facts that offered a different perspective than what one might have picked up in books or movies. His presentation was dramatic and respectful of the enormity of what was sacrificed during the invasion. Through it all he was very personal and approachable for questions. Excellent. Learned a lot about wine in general and specially wine from the famous Saint Emilion region. Rodolphe was an awesome tour guide; funny, kind, very knowledgeable and passionate about wine. The tour van was very clean, new, and spacious. Would definitely recommend going during the slower season as it’s not as busy.
