Before heading to the desert, we stopped at a gas station to let some air out of the tires, and took a short toilet break (about 15 minutes) before heading into the desert. The whole trip took a little over an hour. Once we entered the desert, the ups and downs made it clear why we came in a camper van. Napping is strictly forbidden, as you could easily get whiplash. FAR took us to two spots: one with the most spectacular sunrise and another with a beautiful view of the Persian Gulf. We spent about an hour and a half in the desert itself. The occasional fog that obscured the view added to the enjoyment of the changing scenery. FAR was very considerate of the tour members, took lots of photos for us, and was a very nice person. The price was about 6500 yen per person, but it was well worth the price.
