More than a ride to the top. Tour with display of history and pictures. A lot of photo opportunities and beautiful scenic views of the city from way up above. Gift shop and concession.

Iconic NY place
It's a must do to be high and looking over New York, north, south, east and west. We went to the ED as it's an iconic building and I'd rather be there than look at it. Would recommend

We completely enjoyed our visit at the Empire State Building!
We had a perfectly clear, but chilly day to see the city, and the overhead heaters were a nice bonus! Staff were professional and courteous. Lines were long but things moved along pretty well.
