Such a fun outing for our team! The crew was fantastic, and we loved getting hands-on with raising the sails. Definitely an experience I’d recommend to others in the area!

What a fantastic experience! We went on a corporate outing and sailed on the historic When & If. The crew was amazing and very educational, and they even let us help raise the sails! Perfect for both small and large groups. We can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful sunset sail with the crew of When & If! We learned a little about the beautiful 1939 schooner, got to help hoist sails, and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset while enjoying yummy drinks served by the crew (they make a great dark and stormy!). A nice break from the hustle and bustle of downtown Salem. Highly recommend!

Great (windy) time! Appreciate the captain going out with less than ideal number of passengers , recognizing we traveled a bit to get there. Wonderful crew and a great first time experience.

We took a cruise around the Salem harbour on the Malabar it was absolutely stunning. We had the best time on this beautiful boat and highly reccomend it to anyone who has the chance. Not really a booze cruise but the crew made an awesome dark and stormy and who doesn't love a little rum on the high seas. The whole trip was perfect start to finish!

Enjoyed my third sunset sail with this company, this time on Malabar X (we've previously sailed on When & If). Every experience is better than the last. The crew is great, the schooners are beautiful and it's always fun to see the coastline from the water. Highly recommended for tourists and locals alike. This is a great option for breaking away from the crowds downtown and experiencing the maritime aspects Salem and the North Shore have to offer. Thank you for another great memory!

My family and I did this 2 hour boat ride on Wednesday, August 27th at 12:30pm. All I can say is "amazing"!! The crew consisted of Henry, Jim and Kass. They were fantastic. It was an old school 1930s sailboat called the Malabar X. The day was beautiful and breezy and we learned a lot about the boat and our surroundings. I highly recommend this boat ride. It was one of our highlights of our trip to Salem, MA.

The captain and crew of the Malabar X were incredibly friendly and accommodating. My friends and I had an amazing time celebrating my birthday on board. I highly recommend a trip on the Malabar X. I will definitely be back soon!

Very beautiful boat. The wife and I had a great sail on this too tier classic yacht. Looked like it was the Great Gatsby’s richer neighbors boat. Awesome and knowledgeable crew

We just got home from our sailing tour. We had the best time! The boat is magnificent with an interesting history, and the crew were knowledgeable and fun to be around. They went the extra mile to make sure we had a great time. We decided we want to do it again, and next time we have friends from out of town visit, this is on the list of adventures to share...

Updated: Attached is a screenshot of the the confirmation email. As you can see, it clearly states "Included onboard" - it does not say "available onboard". Notice as well that alcoholic drinks are grouped with non-alcoholic drinks. I have half a mind to lower the rating further - Please reread YOUR EMAIL and consider making changes to highlight what is and is not included vs. available as some may simply bring their printed confirmation aboard and either print prices on the confirmation or have the staff mention pricing when they take order. Pros: Beautiful sunset sail mid-week last week! The Malabar X is clearly a well-taken care of schooner and we had fun participating in hoisting the sails. Con: Our confirmation email said "included on board" and listed a number of beverages. Turns out these beverages were NOT included in the price, nor did the crew mention at any time the prices, until the very end when they came to settle the tab. Deceptive business practice and ended the otherwise beautiful cruise on a bad note. Pasted from my email: INCLUDED ON BOARD - Coolers stocked with ice - La Croix - Bottled water - Boutique Wine - Select Beers - Select RTD Cocktails

Put this amazing journey on your bucket list! This was by far the best sailing adventure I’ve ever been on. Exciting, enchanting and exhilarating. Very professional crew and accommodating to the needs of its guests. Huge variety of alcoholic beverages for a reasonable fee. Highly recommend this trip. Our first but definitely not our last.
