Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Angus our bus operator was excellent in telling us the details of the places we went to. Had a great sense of humour and we also had a sing along.

We went on the bus after exploring scenic world and it was a great addition to the day. I think our driver was Angus and I loved his jokes! I think my partner and I were the only Australians on the bus but we really enjoyed the sing along parts too. Even though we're only a couple hours drive away from the Blue Mountains, it was definitely a great way to see a bit more than we'd normally explore ourselves

Very convenient service to view multiple spots of the scenic gem of Blue Mountains. Definitely more worth it compared to tour group if you want to spend more time at each site based on your preference. The sales staff at the counter is very friendly and provides many helpful guidance. Worth the price.

This is an undoubtedly unmissable experience. We got the train from Sydney (2 hours and very cheap $10/£5.00 single each). Through GYG we booked the hop on/off bus and the Scenic World access. The instructions for the bus are misleading and incomplete. We weren’t sure if the bus stop, ticketing or times. This bus goes at 15 minutes past the hour. Note the entire lap in 1 hour so careful planning is required to go from stop to stop. If you get off then it’s 1 hour until it comes back. At the end of the day we got an Uber back to town avoiding a 40 minute bus tour to complete the lap and a 50+ minute wait for a train. The Scenic World is outstanding with thrilling rides and views. All the lookouts are free to access from around the town Honeymoon, Echo Point and many others. There is also a decent public bus service in which you can use your Opal Card (NSW public transport service). Overall we had a great day, experienced the views, atmosphere, rides, food and shopping.

I had an amazing time and Angus the bus driver was very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. I was very glad to have been given the paper booklet to keep as a guide so I didn’t have to keep going on my phone

I used my day pass for 5 separate segments, along with hiking advice and directions to the grocery from the drivers. I was wiped out after 6 hours of hiking, mainly along rim. Loved it!

We ended up in Katoomba for the day when our other plans fell through, but it turned into a win as we had the most wonderful day on the explorer bus. The office staff very kindly stored our luggage for us so we could hop on and off for the day. Our driver, Angus, kept us entertained, and we got to check out so many lovely spots around Katoomba and Leura. Definitely recommend this service!

We had the best day on the Explorer Bus! So many incredible bushwalks and Angus our driver was as hilarious as he was knowledgeable. Great way to see the Blue Mountains, highly recommend.

The bus itself was good but hourly timetables were NOT helpful. There are 23 sites on the route and you have to walk in between them or plan on sitting there for an hour. If these were every 20-30 minutes you’d be able to see more.

This tour service is the best way to see all the amazing sights of the blue mountains. The bus drivers ,Angus and Tim were very friendly and welcoming with lots of knowledge about the area and its history. The double decker bus is a stand out from the other tour companies and makes the experience even better. The amount of bus pick up places is great with a bus arriving every 30mins to take you to the next lookout of sightseeing activity is really good. I highly recommend these guys if you want a hassle free experience of the Blue mountains.

The good: The hop on and off bus is good for families. The drivers have good tidbits to share and the double decker bus is fun for sure. They give you a map with good info and have suggested destinations based upon who you are: family, couple, group, hikers, etc…so from that perspective, worth it The bad: the SEO is well done and makes it feel like they are the only bus you can take. Just know, if you want to take a regular town bus around to different sites, which comes more frequently, you can. Secondly, I bought the Lyre pass thinking I was getting a great deal with the zoo (redeem my adult ticket for a kids ticket the next day at the zoo). Buyer beware, there are two zoos in Sydney and the one you’re likely to go isn’t the one you get the special offer for. That left a bitter taste in my mouth. Not really their fault I guess, shame on me for not reading more closely that there is a difference between the Sydney Zoo and the Zoo in Sydney. BUT it does feel a bit bait and switchey for a city that very clearly has their tourism game down cold.

Very good experience - interesting & informative guide with clear and friendly talk, excellent Bus upkeep, clearly marked places. Only if the frequency was halved, like a Bus every 30 min rather than 60 min !
