Canyoning Tour - Beginners

• This canyoning tour is a sportive challenge and will show you an insight of rural Madeira. Hidden in a beautiful valley lies this green canyon, where time seems to stand still. After a short walk through a rural area, we will reach a steep path through characteristic tree heath to the beginning of the canyon. All year round water flows in this canyon. We come across 4 different rappels varying in altitude up to 17 meters, 2 small slides and 2 small jumps (optional). The trees in this canyon are covered with mystic tree beard and we will also encounter fennel (funcho), where the capital Funchal is named after. At the end of the canyon we walk in fifteen minutes, through ancient terraces, back to the starting point.
