Looking for an adventure on the water? Look no further this Self-Guided Experience offered by The Tremblant Activity Centre. This non-guided trip allows you to explore the serene beauty of the Rouge River at your own pace.

The Rouge River is the perfect spot for beginners, with calm waters and most parts being very shallow. You'll have the opportunity to see some of the area's farms and cottages as you journey along the 24 km (full day), 12 km (half day), or 6km (2hr) section of the river.

Your rental package includes a canoe, kayak, or paddleboard (SUP) and transportation up the river. Our friendly staff will provide you with the equipment and give you some basic instructions to get you started.

  • Canoes have 2 seats. The 3rd person or children will have to sit on the (often wet) floor .

  • Dress appropriate for the weather

  • Calm dogs on a leash are allowed

    • This activity is suitable for beginners, but please note that kayaks are easier to control and more stable than canoes.
    • Canoes have 2 seats. The 3rd person or children will have to sit on the (often wet) floor of the canoe.
    • Bring lunch, drinks and snacks for picnicking
    • Minimum weight for children is 20 lbs/ 10 kg 
    • Participants must be 13 yrs or older and max. weight of 250 lbs/ 113 kg to use a paddleboard.
    • Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately. 
    • If you bring any valuables make sure they are in a waterproof bag. The bottom of the canoe/kayak can get wet with water coming off your paddle.
    • Calm dogs on a leash are allowed.
