Balinese Shaman Blessings and Tirta Empul

Summary

Your tour begins with pickup from your Southern Bali or Ubud hotel in time for an 8.30am departure. Traveling by private vehicle, set out on the short journey to an authentic village, where you’ll get to experience everyday life in a traditional Balinese village. During your visit, meet with one of the most renowned local residents – a shaman, or spiritual healer, who has a long-standing reputation for healing physical and mental illnesses. Experience the ancient practice for yourself during your own reading and perhaps get advice on a known condition or discover something that you weren’t even aware of. Leave the Shaman feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, and take time to contemplate your visit over lunch (own expense) at a local restaurant. After lunch, soak up the scenery as you drive through the lush countryside, then stop at Penglipuran Village to learn more about Balinese culture and have chance to chat with the locals. The final stop of the day is Tirta Empul, a magnificent temple complex devoted to Vishnu, the Hindu God of Water, which dates back to 926 A.D. After admiring the striking temples, don a traditional sarong and sash, and head to the Holy Spring to take part in a blessing ceremony. Once you’ve made an offering to the Gods, you will be led into the pool by the temple priest to be blessed in the sacred waters. Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 4.30pm.
