A Morning Cooking Class at Bali Asli

Summary

With a strong commitment to supporting the local community, almost all the ingredients are either locally-grown in the school’s garden, from any of the neighbours or purchased from a local market nearby. The western owners wanted to promote Balinese cuisine and culture in the best and most authentic means possible. Lessons will use each participant with its Balinese style kitchen, including wood-fired stoves made out of mud bricks to captivate the essence of the island’s local cuisine. We embrace our community, supporting those who fish, farm and forage in the nearby fields, ocean and jungle. Our menu offers traditional Balinese food using an authentic Balinese style kitchen. We cook on wood-fired, mud brick stoves, allowing the real flavours of Bali to shine. Most of our ingredients are either grown in our garden, in our neighbour’s garden or purchased from the local market. You’ll be looking back in a true adventure that incorporates not only local delicacies but also the story behind each dish. The fun part comes when you finally can taste what you have prepared on the terrace overlooking Mount Agung. Transfer back to your hotel where you will arrive at around 2 pm.
