Aran Islands Bike Tour with Tea and Scones from Galway

We had a fantastic, joy-filled day with our guide Phil. An absolute delight sharing history, spinning tales, and trying to get a few winks on us. Spent 10+ hours with him, and could have tacked on a few more. Highly recommend, and will request him through Ollie’s on our next trip back!

We had an incredible day exploring the Aran Islands with Ollie's Tours. Huge shoutout to our driver Freya for the smooth transit, and our guide Cearbhuil, who made the ride unforgettable. Cearbhuil shared so many interesting, local facts throughout the journey, and we even got to stop and forage for delicious, fresh wild blackberries along the route. We’ve done plenty of bike tours and usually opt for traditional manual bikes, but we decided to upgrade to electric bikes this time, and we were so glad we did. While the ride isn't overly difficult, there are several rolling hills, and navigating loose gravel and wet roads felt much safer and more secure with that little extra battery boost. A quick tip for future travelers: It is a full 8 to 9 hour day of travel between the coach, ferry, and cycling, and there wasn’t enough time after the ride to sit down for a proper lunch. I definitely recommend packing snacks or eating beforehand. Overall, a gorgeous, well-run day trip that we’d recommend to anyone visiting Galway!

Great tour. Pretty island. Lots of fun. Ollie is entertaining and knowledgeable. Optional e-bike was much appreciated by my wife. We did have good weather.

This was the perfect way to see Ireland as it used to be and get away from the crowds. The bike trip was lovely. We saw mini draft horses, sheep, and donkeys. The scones were delicious! Kevin was the perfect guide.

We had a fabulous experience during our e-bike tour, followed by homemade scones and tea! It was rainy the whole time, but it didn’t dampen the fun and beautify my of the island!
