Meet for this airboat ride in New Orleans’ French Quarter. Once you board your air-conditioned bus, ride for about 30 minutes to the fishing village of Jean Lafitte. This town, deep in the Louisiana wetlands, is a great place to begin to understand Cajun culture. Before you head out on your airboat, your guide takes you to an albino alligator exhibit. You also have an opportunity to pick up some food or something to drink (own expense). Board your airboat and take to the water through a bayou. Your guide stops along the way to show you native wildlife such as alligators and nutria. Hear stories about the area’s history and culture, as well as some swamp folklore.
