Explore Xian on this 2-day tour, with accommodation excluded. Your experience includes two private full-day sightseeing tours, with private transport, privately guided visits, lunch, and pickup and drop-off at your chosen Xian location on both days.
Day 1: Xian
Depart your chosen Xian location in the morning by private, air-conditioned vehicle, and stop first at the Shaanxi History Museum, whose exhibitions span the 3,000-year-old history of Shaanxi Province.
Tour the halls displaying terracotta sculptures, coins, pottery, and other treasures from the Qin, Tang, Ming and Qing dynasties with your guide, and learn about China’s history as you explore.
Next, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before visiting Xian’s UNESCO-listed City Wall. Built around 1370, this massive 8.5-mile (14-kilometer) structure is China’s oldest, biggest, and best-preserved city wall. Choose to walk or ride a rental bike (additional cost) along the ramparts, taking in the watchtowers, battlements, and views over Xian.
Your sightseeing then concludes with a drop-off at your selected Xian location, leaving you to enjoy the evening independently.
Day 2: Xian
Following morning pickup, travel to the world-famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum, outside Xian. Marvel at the army, learning how it was carved in 210 BC to guard China’s first Qin Emperor in the afterlife. See the pits holding the more than 8,000 life-size warriors, and hear how the figurines were carved and assembled.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit Xian’s Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a symbol of the city. Admire the 7-story Buddhist pagoda, dating from the 7th century, and learn how it was built house Buddha figurines brought to China by the monk Xuan Zang.
Admire the Buddha statues inside, and after stretching your legs in the gardens, enjoy some free time before finishing your tour with a drop-off at a location of your choice.
