Extra virgin olive oil tasting

Upon arrival at our olive mill we will make a short tour through the machinery, so you can see how the whole process works – from olive fruit reception until those golden oil drops start to fill the pots. Through a brief historical overview we will explain how our ancestors used to do it in contrast of how we do it today. You will be familiarized with typical characteristics, as well as defects and virtues of olive oil. From sightseeing, to storytelling, slowly we will continue tasting different sorts of oil. Although we'll make sure you go home familiarized with the professional aspect of oil tasting, which is being carried out by only drinking olive oil, be prepared to spoil your palate with magical tastes of the finest home made prosciutto and cheese as well. If you add a sip or two of wine we guarantee you'll want to come back and do it all over again ;)

As an owner of an oil mill in Vodice called Sv. Ivan, and a few big olive groves, through lots of tasting, cooking and may I say living for the olives and from the olives I've managed to learn all that is about olive oil. My family runs the business for years, we produce our olive oil and we have our own brand. Therefore I decided to set up a tasting room with a small shop in order to familiar visitors with our business, teach them little bit about olive oil and and give them a possibility to taste some exquisite local products. Through this process I will be assisted by my lovely wife Helena as a co- host and together we will give our best to give you an unforgettable experience.
