Better Hop on value
This was the better value for us because the ticket is good for 2 days + a boat tour for just 1 pound more than the red bus operator. While the route is shorter, the extended route did not include features we wanted. It covered all the highlights. One downside is that one of their buses was taken out of service for a maintenance issue and we had to wait almost an hour for a pickup. On a second use we did not experience any inconvenience. This is also a Grey Line tour and we've always had a good experience with Grey Line.
Wonderful experience
My friend and I took the golden tour open top bus around York. Russell was our driver. What a wonderful experience he gave us from start to finish, he was hilarious and informative. We enjoyed the experience so much we went round twice. Thank you Russell you made our day out so much fun.

Marc is an excellent tour guide.
Everything was very good and it was an excellent surprise that on the second day we had an in-person guide named Marc with the driver Yas. Marc's guidance was very entertaining and informative, much better and more in-depth than the simple recording available on board the bus. We were able to interact with Marc and ask various questions throughout the tour. Pleasant surprise and highly recommended.
