Yarra Valley Wildlife & Wine Day Tour from Melbourne with Healesville Sanctuary

After pickup from your Melbourne hotel, set out on the drive to the Healesville Sanctuary, a nonprofit conservation center home to over 200 animal species. Your prepaid tickets get you straight inside, so you can spend the entire morning exploring the wildlife sanctuary and spotting native Australian animals such as kangaroos, koalas, emus, wombats, and platypuses.

Continue to the Yarra Valley, where the first stop is Yering Station. After a lovely lunch at the restaurant looking out over the vineyards, take a tour of the historic winery and sample their fine wines.

Your second wine tasting is at De Bortoli Winery, the valley’s largest wine producer. Enjoy a guided tasting and sample a selection of red, white, sparkling, and dessert wines paired with a selection of regional cheeses.
