Why take this tour?
Enjoy an enchanting walking tour of the Canadian side of Niagara Falls between the picturesque Dufferin Islands and the majestic Niagara Falls as the whole city is transformed into a Winter Wonderland during the Winter Festival of Lights.
Your Festival of Lights Walking Tour begins at the meeting point at Dufferin Islands. Your guide will meet you at Dufferin Islands hut and take you on a walk of the area. You will marvel at the picturesque trails and be dazzled by larger-than-life displays and lush trees wrapped up in lights. You’ll see how the three-dimensional wildlife illuminations add to the exhilaration of the 40th Niagara Falls Winter Festival of Lights. Nothing else captures the holiday spirit better than the dazzling display of Christmas trees, giant ornaments, polar bears, moose, and more, made from millions of twinkling lights. There are even fireworks on Fridays and Saturdays to add to the sparkle of the event.
After your walk through the Islands, your guide will take you on a stroll along the route of the Winter Festival to see Table Rock Welcome Centre. Set against the dazzling background of Canadian Horseshoe Falls, this stop is perfect for family-friendly photo opportunities.
Your next stop will be Queen Victoria Park which is often dubbed “a crown jewel of Niagara Falls”. Be captivated by the luminous wildlife winter sets in this park, like the giant polar bears and moose. You can’t miss the radiant Falls in the surroundings along the Niagara Parkway.
To conclude your tour, your guide will bring you to the Hornblower loading area in the heart of Niagara’s tourism district at the bottom of Clifton Hill. You're free to continue exploring the beautiful city of Niagara Falls from there.
