An exploration of the valley nestling between the Babylonstoring and Kleinrivierberge Mountain ranges. Many of the wine estate owners have set apart tracts of their land as part of a conservancy to create corridors within the region that protect the unique indigenous fynbos. The walk is interesting and varied, along single tracks and country lanes, with beautiful mountain scenery and farmland. Encompassing vineyards and orchards, horse paddocks and farms in what is aptly called the" Heaven & Earth" valley. We start at La Vierge with a chocolate & nougat wine tasting while enjoying an awesome view of the valley below. From there its a mostly downhill jaunt /wobble through a protea farm to the Frame House of Bosman Family Vineyards. The ramble continues through a horse farm , orchards and vineyards to Sumaridge Estate. Here we enjoy an excellent platter with their superb wine at the trail end.
