A tour that you can’t leave behind
I’ve been aware of Windmill Road Studios since the 80 and grew up to Gerry Ryan and Dave Fanning on 2FM in West Wales. This made me a massive fan of Irish music it was a privilege to visit and learn more about the history of the studios and music (and film sound) recording. To know that much of the soundtrack of my life was recorded at these studios made it such a special place to visit. Fantastic a must visit for all music fans. It’s not just about U2 but even better if you are!
A must-visit for every U2 fan
As a huge U2 fan, visiting Windmill Lane Recording Studios was a very special experience for me. I wanted to see the place where U2 created and recorded some of their music and where so much musical history was made. The tour was fascinating, especially the insight into how music is actually created and recorded—from the first idea to the finished song. It was interesting to hear about the recording process, studio techniques and the many famous artists who have worked here. A memorable and inspiring visit—not only for U2 fans, but for anyone who loves music and wants to understand what happens behind the studio doors.
