Wild Current Private Canoe Adventure

Choose to be picked up from your hotel or meet your certified canoe guide on the dock at the Pyramid Lake Resort. Spend some time getting outfitted with the proper safety gear with a quick course in paddling. Don’t worry if you are inexperienced; this is a flat-water adventure and is suitable for both beginners and more seasoned visitors. Next, set out in your canoe; either a 2- to 4-person MacKenzie canoe or a handmade Voyageur canoe for larger groups.

Enjoy a leisurely paddle around Pyramid Lake, set in the middle of mountains—some of which stay snow-capped all year long. Keep your camera handy, as the views are spectacular and you never know when you will spot some wildlife!

Cap off the adventure with home-baked goodies and a warm drink (beside a campfire, if the weather warrants).
