Khomyak Meadow is one of the classic Carpathian meadows, which are used as pastures by the local people. The landscapes are sensational, with the picturesque views of sheep herds and authentic shepherds’ summer sheds.
Synyak mountain reaches 1665 m asl, with its name recalling the dark-blue color of the stony slopes, if seen from a distance. The mountain belongs to the Carpathian National Park, and together with Maly Gorgan (Small Gorgan, 1592 m asl), it forms the Synyak range. Great panorama looks across Bukovel, the biggest ski resort in Ukraine.
Bukovel is the biggest ski resort in Ukraine on the slopes of the Bukovel Mountain (920 m asl). The skiing season lasts from November to April. In 2012, Bukovel was acknowledged as one of the fastest-growing resorts in the world. Bukovel is also a popular summer destination, with its outdoor facilities and the biggest man-made lake in Ukraine.
